Flor Bustamante counsels Darby International Capital in Ecuador agricultural deal
Ecuadorian law firm Flor Bustamante has acted as legal counsel to Darby International Capital in connection with a complex cross-border financing transaction in favor of Grupo Agrogruled, a company operating in the agricultural sector.
The transaction, the terms of which were not disclosed, is designed to provide strategic capital to strengthen Grupo Agrogruled’s operations and support the continued development of its business lines. The financing is expected to enable the group to expand its footprint across the agricultural industry, one of Ecuador’s most productive and economically significant sectors.
The matter was led by Flor Bustamante partners Mario Flor (pictured left) and Alejandro Perez (pictured right), who coordinated a multidisciplinary team across the structuring, negotiation, and execution phases of the deal. The transaction involved cross-border elements that required careful coordination across multiple jurisdictions.
The closing of this deal reinforces Flor Bustamante’s track record in sophisticated financing transactions in Ecuador and the broader region, with particular emphasis on agribusiness and other productive sectors.
For Darby International Capital, a private equity and private credit firm with a long history of investing in emerging markets, the transaction represents a continued focus on growth-oriented investments in Latin America.
