Galvão Villani announces new partner and associates

Galvão Villani, Navarro, Zangiácomo e Bardella Advogados has announced the arrival of new members to its team: Marcia Harue Ishige de Freitas (pictured left), who now appears as another partner in the tax area and private clients, in addition to associates Gabriela Carneiro Sultani (pictured center) and Jorge Luz (pictured right).

Marcia is a lawyer with more than 20 years of experience in the legal market and a strong performance in business restructuring and estate planning. Marcia and her team arrive to strengthen the operations of the firm, not only in claims related to the themes, but also with interface with Corporate, Contract, Civil and Succession Law.

With a degree in Law from the University of São Paulo (USP), Marcia has a post-graduate degree in Tax Law from Pontifícia Universidade Católica (PUC-SP), and an international course in the area from Universiteit Leiden, in the Netherlands.

After three years at her former law firm, where she was a founding partner, Marcia joins Galvão Villani Advogados with the objective of applying her extensive tax knowledge to the demands of a legal boutique specialized in this area, contributing to corporate cases involving topics such as Mergers and Acquisitions, Tax Planning, structuring and strategic consulting for businesses.

In addition to Marcia, the firm now counts with two new lawyers, coming from the same firm as her: Jorge Luz and Gabriela Carneiro Sultani. Marcia and Gabriela have worked together for more than a decade, while Jorge joined them in mid-2020, during the pandemic. The three come to the office to add strength to the team, and continue offering an ethical, cohesive, and aligned work to the clients’ objectives.

Graduated in Law from Universidade Paulista (UNIP), Jorge is post-graduating in Tax Law from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV), an area in which he has been working since 2017. The lawyer has already worked in the Public Defender’s Office of the State of São Paulo, and in other law firms.

Gabriela graduated in Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP) in 2002, holds a postgraduate degree in Tax Law from the same institution, and a specialization degree in Accounting, Controllership, and Finance from Fundação Instituto de Pesquisas Contábeis, Atuariais e Financeiras (FIPECAFI), the lawyer has worked in large law firms in the country, with 20 years of experience in the tax area.
