García & Bodán instructed on Crocs anti-piracy enforcement in El Salvador
García & Bodán advised Crocs on enforcing its IP rights in El Salvador when it advised the footwear company on anti-piracy enforcement.
The action involved stopping and seizing 13,200 pairs of shoes that were infringing Crocs IP rights at the Acajutla Port near the city of Sonsonate, on the Pacific coast of El Salvador.
Julio Vargas, managing partner of García & Bodán in El Salvador and Regional IP Director of the Central American firm, led the team acting for Crocs.
The infringing party compensated Crocs and proceeded with the destruction of the load, under the supervision of the local authorities.
