G&B assists in United Airlines resumption of flights in Nicaragua

García & Bodán Nicaragua has assisted in the reactivation of United Airlines operations to Nicaragua from the United States and vice versa.

The airline resumed daily flights between the two countries on 4 January, welcoming more travellers after suspending service for nearly three years due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The inauguration ceremony took place with the arrival, at full capacity, of the Boeing 737-800 aircraft from Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport, landing in the afternoon in Nicaraguan territory. Its arrival at Augusto C. Sandino International Airport marks the official re-establishment of United Airlines operations in Nicaragua.

“We have been flying in Nicaragua for 33 years and for us it is extremely important to be able to re-establish this route, with a professional team that has made it possible,” said the airline representative during the ceremonial acts.

The consultancy involved compliance issues, permits from public entities, contracts, among others, achieving strict compliance with both local aviation legislation and applicable international standards.
