Graça Couto advises JHSF on acquisition of company owning luxury area
Graça Couto Advogados advises JHSF Participações entered into a deal for the acquisition of a 51% stake in a company owning properties of approximately 5.7 million square meters in Bragança Paulsita, SP.
The transaction value was BRL 177 million. The acquisition follow a long-term strategy to add selected large properties to JHSF portfolio for the development of high-standard (e.g., triple A) residential projects together with the landowners, who kept an interest of 49% in the special-purpose entity.
Based on the project’s forecasts, JHSF expects that it will generate a total sales value (Valor Geral de Venda – VGV) of BRL 6.1 billion in stages.
JHSF is a leader in the high-income real estate industry in Brazil and has a significant presence in shopping mall and fashion retail, hospitality and gastronomy, real estate development and other markets.
