GT Law expands LatAm practice with Henry Roque

Greenberg Traurig has announced the reinstatement of shareholder Henry Roque (pictured) to the Miami office, who rejoins from Holland & Knight, to strengthen its corporate and Latin American practices.

Antonio Peña, corporate shareholder and co-chair of the Latin America practice, said: “The strategic expansion of our team is a direct response to increased client demand in both the number and volume of transactions. The last three years have been the busiest and most successful for the Latin America Practice, as we work with existing and new clients on matters throughout the region.”

Henry, a Miami native, focuses his practice on public and private M&A, cross-border transactions, joint ventures and private equity transactions. Although he works in a variety of industries, he has specific experience in the healthcare and life sciences sectors.

He received his J.D. cum laude from American University Washington College of Law and an LL.M. in taxation from New York University School of Law. He is admitted to practice in Florida. In addition, he plans to continue giving back to his community through pro bono work, including assisting Amigos for Kids, a Miami non-profit organisation focused on serving disadvantaged and at-risk children.

Greenberg Traurig has continued to grow and strengthen its Latin America practice, adding approximately 30 lawyers in practice areas where the firm is seeing demand from clients, including corporate, mergers and acquisitions, banking, finance, tax and international arbitration. Recent additions to the Latin America team include Nathan M. Eisler, Leslie Palma and Monica Lopez-Rodriguez. Henry Roque, along with Seth J. Entin, Carol Barnhart and Geiza Vargas-Vargas, is one of four lawyers who have rejoined Greenberg Traurig in the past three years.
