Lobo de Rizzo expands its dispute resolution area

Lobo de Rizzo has expanded its dispute resolution area with the hiring of Paula Abi-Chahine and Christian Vieira. As a result, the firm now has 39 partners.

Paula Abi-Chahine has vast experience in business civil litigation, acting in matters related to civil, commercial, consumer, administrative, and insurance law. She conducts national and international arbitrations, in matters related to company acquisitions, corporate disputes, infrastructure, commercial representation, construction contracts, among others.

In addition, she is dedicated to the academic area, as a professor of the Civil Procedure course at renowned teaching institutions, and integrates several institutions in the arbitration environment.
She graduated in Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP) and specialized in Civil Procedural Law at the same institution. She holds an International Certification in Business Litigation and International Arbitration from the London School of Economics and Political Science – LSE; a Master in Civil Procedural Law from the University of São Paulo (USP) and a PhD in Civil Procedural Law, also from USP.

Christian Vieira works in the analysis, prevention and resolution of disputes, with extensive experience in representing national and international clients in complex disputes arising from judicial and administrative proceedings, as well as in arbitrations, with a focus on corporate disputes (M&A), civil construction, retail, infrastructure, automobile, real estate, tenancy and possessory relationships.
Christian has experience as an arbitrator and also works in academia. He has published books and several articles, and is a professor at the post-graduation course in Civil Procedural Law at PUC-SP – COGEAE. Christian is a member of several institutions, and a founding member of the Center for Advanced Process Studies – CEAPRO, a member of the Brazilian Arbitration Committee – CBAr, and the Brazilian Institute of Procedural Law – IBDP.

He graduated in Law from Mackenzie Presbyterian University. He holds a specialization degree in Civil Procedural Law from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo – PUC-SP and a master’s degree in Civil Procedural Law from the same institution. He also holds a doctorate in Civil Procedural Law from the University of São Paulo (USP).
