Lollato Lopes Advogados acts in judicial recovery of Coritiba

Lollato, Lopes, Rangel e Ribeiro Advogados advised Coritiba Foot Ball Club that filed for judicial reorganization

Lollato, Lopes, Rangel e Ribeiro Advogados advised Coritiba Foot Ball Club, which filed for judicial reorganization to proceed with a restructuring plan, started last year, with the creation of Coritiba SAF (Sociedade Anônima do Futebol).

SAFs were legalized in 2021 and allow clubs to create a corporation and pay in assets, to facilitate the entry of investors and debt restructuring.

The club’s debt is approximately R$ 300 million. XP Investimentos was hired to find investors for the club. Alvarez & Marsal is responsible for the financial restructuring.

Lollato Lopes Advogados represented the club in the process and counted on partners Aguinaldo Ribeiro Jr. (pictured left) in Curitiba and Tiago Lopes (pictured right) in São Paulo.
