Mattos Filho and Pinheiro Neto advise on Arqia deal
Wireless Logic Group, through its Brazilian subsidiary Arqia Participações e Serviços, has agreed to acquire the Internet of Things (IoT) business of Algar Telecom, a member of the Algar Group operating in the information technology and telecommunications sector.
The transaction, valued at approximately BRL 720 millions, remains subject to the satisfaction of certain conditions precedent, including clearance from the Brazilian Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE).
Wireless Logic specializes in connectivity solutions for IoT and connected device management.
The Mattos Filho team advising the buyer side was led by partners Rodrigo Nascimento (São Paulo), Thaís Gasparian Moraes (Rio de Janeiro), Fabio Ferreira Kujawski (São Paulo), Luciana Cordeiro (São Paulo) and Eduardo Frade (Brasília), together with Tomas Souza Queirós de Alvarenga, Melissa Facco, Mariana Brode Herzka, Gabriella Valentino and Paulo César Luciano Junior, all based in São Paulo, and Karina Müller Marcel and Rafael Bessa, both in Rio de Janeiro.
Algar Telecom was represented by Pinheiro Neto Advogados, with a team composed of partners André Bernini, Tomás Paiva and Vinicius Seixas, counsel Vitor Amorim, senior associates Roberto Mandetta and Eduardo Benclowicz, and associates Joyce Assis Ribeiro and Roberta Esteves.
