New tax practice is launched by NLD Abogados

Chilean law firm NLD Abogados has expanded its services with the addition of a Tax practice, widening its range of legal services to meet the growing demand for specialized tax advisory services from businesses and individuals.

According to the firm, the new practice will provide comprehensive tax counsel across a range of areas, including transaction structuring, mergers and acquisitions, financing, and tax planning for companies as well as high-net-worth individuals.

The Tax practice will represent clients in tax and customs disputes, handling litigation before administrative authorities and courts.

The new practice will be led by Javier Pérez Marchant, who joins the firm as Director of the Tax Practice. Javier is a lawyer who graduated from the University of Chile in 2014 and holds an LL.M. from New York University and a Master’s in Tax Law from Universidad de Chile.

He brings 11 years of experience from Claro & Cía., advising companies and individuals on tax planning, transaction structuring, and disputes before tax authorities. He is consistently recognized among Chile’s leading tax lawyers by top international rankings.
