PAGBAM Schwencke assists CAF in bidding process for rolling stock

Chilean law firm PAGBAM Schwencke has assisted Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles (CAF), a Spanish multinational company specialising in transport infrastructure and mobility, in a bidding process for the provision of rolling stock for the Melipilla-Alameda and Batuco-Quinta Normal routes.

These bids were submitted on 25 January. The project is currently undergoing a technical evaluation process that will last until March, when the opening of the economic bids will take place. The bidding process is expected to conclude during the first half of this year.

CAF has been operating in Chile since 2007. The Alameda – Melipilla route represents an investment of US$1.58 billion, while the Batuco-Quinta Normal route represents an investment of US$705 million.
