PAGBAM Schwenke assists in purchase of Alimentos Schwencke

Chilean law firm PAGBAM Schwencke has assisted the Schwencke Larrain family in the purchase of 100% of the company Alimentos Schwencke to its minority shareholders, Roberto Negrín and César Asenjo.

Thanks to this transaction, the Schwencke Larrain family acquires full ownership of Alimentos Schwencke, while César Asenjo will remain in the company as a strategic advisor.

The company’s general manager, Marcelo Mellado, has stated that an increase in investment in the logistics chain, the generation of new products, sales channels and strategic alliances will be sought, seeking to maintain and expand the tradition of the German settlers in southern Chile through their products. The amount of the transaction is confidential.

The company is an important food company in southern Chile. It was founded in Valdivia in 1953 and belonged to the founding family, led by Ernesto Schwencke, passing through various owners until it reached the hands of César Asenjo Rozas.

Alimentos Schwencke specializes in the production of food products, specifically sausages and meat cuts, which are made using traditional German recipes and high quality raw materials.

Roberto Negrín was advised by lawyer Max Boza, of Boza y Muirhead Abogados; while César Asenjo was advised by lawyer José Miguel Salazar.

Hermógenes Guerrero acted as financial advisor to the Schwencke Larraín family in conjunction with PAGBAM.

PAGBAM’s team consisted of lawyers Francisco Prado (pictured), Paulo Román and Martín Casse.
