RE&M appoints Ximena Aramburú as partner
Rodrigo Elías & Medrano has announced the promotion of Ximena Aramburú (pictured) as a new partner of the firm.
Ximena has been with RE&M since 2007 and her practice focuses on intellectual property, consumer protection and unfair competition. She has extensive experience advising national and international companies on consumer protection, unfair competition, protection of distinctive signs and copyright. She has successfully led relevant cases before various regulatory bodies, such as the Consumer Protection Commission, the Unfair Competition Commission, the Distinctive Signs Commission and the Copyright Commission.
She has been a member of the Commission for Repression of Unfair Competition of the National Institute for the Defence of Competition and Protection of Intellectual Property (2006-2007), and is currently a member of the Lima Bar Association and the Peruvian Association of Industrial Property and Copyright (APPI, for its acronym in Spanish).
