Rolim Viotti and T&C on transactions between CEMIG and Furnas
Rolim, Viotti, Goulart, Cardoso Advogados has assisted Cemig Geração e Transmissão (CEMIG GT) in two recent transactions involving the sale of assets to Furnas Centrais Elétricas, wich was advised by Tauil & Chequer Advogados.
In the first, a BRL 393 million deal, CEMIG GT sold to Furnas all shares issued by Baguari Energia, owned by Cemig GT, representing 69,39% of the share capital of the company.
Baguari Energia is a joint venture between Cemig GT and Furnas, holder of 49% of the Consortium UHE Baguari.
In the second deal, with previously value of BRL R$ 200.366.754,78, CEMIG GT soldto Furnas all shares issued by Retiro Baixo Energética Energia, owned by Cemig GT, representing 49,9% of the share capital of the company.
Both deals are part of the portfolio reorganization plans involving Eletrobras and Cemig and had their signings in April 2023.
Rolim Advogados relied on partner Fábio Appendino (pictured left) that was ahead of the transactions, alongside Alessandra Rezende Torres, Deliana Salomão de Castro and Sophia Galbas Rezende.
Tauil & Chequer Advogados assisted the buyer and relied on partners Débora Yanasse, Luciana Sodré, Francisco Todorov, Luiz Gustavo Bezerra, associates Isabella Giorgi, Caio Souza, Aline Brayner, José Muricy, Nubia Bufarah, Victor Trevizan.
