BMA and Veirano act on the acquisition of Arauco by Klabin

BMA advised Klabin on the direct acquisition, through a controlled company, of 100% of the share capital of Arauco Florestal Arapoti (AFA) and Arauco Forest Brasil (AFB), owned by Celulosa Arauco Y Constitución and Inversiones Arauco Internacional Limitada, and indirectly the purchase of 49% of the share capital of Florestal Vale do Corisco (VdC) and 100% of Empreendimentos Florestais Santa Cruz (SC), for an issue price of US$ 1,160,000,000.00, assuming zero working capital and zero net debt.

The operation includes the purchase of 150,000 hectares of total area substantially in the state of Paraná, of which 85,000 hectares of productive area and 31.5 million tons of standing timber, as well as forestry machinery and equipment.
