Echecopar represents EDF and Fondos ACC in acquisition of Huanchor

Estudio Echecopar, associated with Baker & McKenzie International, has advised Grupo EDF (acting through EDF Peru) and AC Capitales Fondo Infraestructura II, L.P., AC Capitales Fondo Infraestructura II, and AC Capitales Fondo Infraestructura II GP (Fondos ACC), acting jointly through Rimac Hydro, in the acquisition of Hidroeléctrica Huanchor from Volcan Compañía Minera.

The transaction was signed on 14 June and closed on 11 October, following verification of certain customary conditions, including merger control clearance from the Instituto Nacional de Defensa de la Competencia y de la Protección de la Propiedad Intelectual (Indecopi), as well as customary conditions and adjustments in this type of transaction.

The advice also involved the negotiation of the agreements for its association with Fondos ACC as the new owners of Huanchor.
