Ferro, Morelli & Furtado adds Filipe Silveira
Ferro, Morelli & Furtado, a law firm based in Belém, Pará, has announced the incorporation of Filipe Silveira Advocacia, bringing attorney Filipe Silveira into the firm as a partner. The move expands the firm’s structure and marks the launch of a new Criminal Law practice, with a particular focus on advising companies on criminal matters.
The combination brings together professional careers built over more than a decade in the legal market in Pará. Ferro, Morelli & Furtado was founded in 2013 with a corporate-oriented practice focused on business clients. Following the integration, the firm will have four partners and a team of approximately 30 attorneys, in addition to administrative and support staff, and will operate under the name Ferro, Morelli, Furtado & Silveira Advogados – FMFS.
Filipe Silveira has built his career in criminal law since the mid-2000s, developing a practice focused on White-Collar and Economic Criminal Law. Over roughly two decades of practice, he has worked on matters involving crimes against public administration, corruption, money laundering, financial crimes, tax offenses, environmental crimes and crimes against property, alongside representation in investigations and enforcement operations. Following the integration, Silveira will lead the firm’s Criminal Law practice, while matters related to administrative misconduct will be handled jointly with the other partners.
Filipe’s arrival broadens this scope and strengthens the firm’s presence in a practice area that had not previously been part of its structure. He brings his expertise in White-Collar and Economic Criminal Law to provide legal advice on criminal matters to companies throughout Brazil’s Northern Region.
