Machado Meyer advised Concessionária Rota de Santa Maria and Sacyr Concesiones on the implementation of a toll road project by Sacyr in Brazil, including its construction and funding.
Cescon Barrieu advice to BNDES, Banco Santander, and Instituto de Crédito Oficial – ICO. The transaction value was BRL 900 million.
This was the first infrastructure project and investment of one of the leading Spanish infrastructure groups in Brazil. Sacyr is a world-leading developer of large-scale infrastructure projects. Additionally, thistransaction is complex and encompassed nearly all stages of Brazilian project finance such as a loan with a development bank, a public offering in the capital markets, an issuance of SBLC with commercial banks, an execution of EPC agreement and a security package with typical project finance collateral and sponsor support.
