Souto Correa and Huck Otranto in the JV between Oncoclínicas and Porto Seguro

Souto Correa has advised Oncoclinicas and Huck Otranto Camargo has advised Porto Seguro on the formation of a joint venture to provide medical and cancer treatment services.

Oncoclinicas will hold 60% of the enterprise and Porto Seguros will hold the remaining 40%. The deal was announced on December 19 and is subject to approval by the Brazilian Antitrust Agency (Cade).

“The joint venture will operate on an integrated care model for cancer patients, assuring a high level of experience across the treatment journey, excellence in patient care, and operational efficiency. The transaction is an example of the commitments by both Oncoclínicas and Porto Seguro to promote comprehensive and sustainable solutions for cancer treatment in search for medical quality, resolution, and cost-effectiveness, by leveraging on specialization and a management model that provides efficiency and scalability”, according to both companies.
